Dubbing Theatre

Our studio has a Protools HD mix system, with up to 7.1 surround mixing, and HD projection system. The studio can also be used as a viewing theatre, with comfortable seating for up to 8 people.

Sound Design & Sound Editorial

We can provide complete sound editorial services for film, television and multimedia. Sound design, dialogue & ADR editing we can also provide podcast editorial.

ADR, Voice Over & Podcast Recording

We have a large, air conditioned recording studio, suitable for ADR, Voiceover, Crowd and Podcast sessions. The studio is equipped with Protools HD, Source Connect, and EdiPrompt for ADR cueing.

 

About Us

Onomatopoeia is a post production facility based in central Liverpool, providing services for film, television and multimedia. We are located in a private courtyard hidden behind Hardman street, offering a quiet setting in the centre of the city.

We are a flexible facility, offering a relaxed atmosphere and smooth post house experience for clients. We offer sound post services and tailor made post packages. We also offer special rates for independent films and shorts.

Onomatopoeia was founded by Sam Auguste, an award winning sound editor, with 20 years experience in post-production for film and television.

We are following the UK Screen Alliance guidelines for safe working practices during the COVID-19 pandemic please click here to see their guidelines

All of our usual services are operating with minimum disruption:

ADR and Voice-over

ADR and Voice over sessions are recoded from a separate room in the facility - ensuring artists have minimum contact with anyone

Guests are asked to bring their own refreshments to sessions to minimise the risk of contamination

Clients can Zoom, Skype or Source Connect into sessions for review

Staff will be wearing protective clothing to minimise the risk of contamination

We have hand sanitiser stations throughout the facility

All headphones used by artists will have disposable protective covers

A minimum of 2 meters distance will be kept between staff and guests

We will keep a 1 hour gap between sessions to ensure the studio and communal spaces are sterilised before a new guest arrives

All doors will be opened for guests prior to arrival

Dubbing

Our dubbing theatre will continue to run, however at this time we will be offering remote review for clients

Sound Editorial

Our sound editing services will completed remotely where possible - also offering remote review for clients
